2019 Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation

LFJCC CEO Betzy Lynch welcomes everyone to the 2019 Annual Meeting

The Lawrence Family JCC and the San Diego Center for Jewish Culture combined to host 2019 Annual Meeting this past week on June 11th. A heartfelt todah rabah to all of our volunteers for your hard work and dedication throughout the year. Special recognition to the Volunteer of the Year, Peter Schmidt (for more information on Peter, check out his article in JConnections!) and our David Wax Teen Leadership Award winner, Alex Farfel. Our Family of the Year was awarded to the Hurvitz Family, Aaron, Lindsey, Oliver and Scarlett. Thank you for all the time and love you put into the Lawrence Family JCC!

We are also pleased to inform you that we welcomed Harris Steinberg and Lisa Chang to the CJC Board of Directors, and David Rodman, Zachary Millrood and Dan Goldstein to the JCC Board. Their terms begin on July 1st as we begin a new fiscal year.

Additionally, David Rafsky, the new CJC Treasurer and Kira Finkenberg were elected to the CJC Executive Committee; and Aaron Hurvitz was elected to the JCC Executive Committee. A special thank you to the JCC and CJC Board Members that are retiring from the Boards this year. We appreciate all you have done! Thank you Leslie Caspi, Michael Flaster, Michele Kipnis, Susan Levin, Elisa Lurkis, Melissa Mandel, Candice Powell, Wayne Schwartz, and Sandra Silverstein.
