My data entry job experiences.

Hi everyone. I am Nur Alam Raju. A freelancer from Bangladesh. Today i am going to share my experience about data entry job. The struggles and the joys.

I have started typing before i touched a pen. I mean when i was five that time a computer we had at our home. I remember the operating system was windows 98 and ram was 256 MB. That is unbelievable for today. Yes i have started writing on computer from my childhood. But at 2010 after my JSC exam i started professional course on Microsoft office and completed the course without any troubles. After that in the year of 2013 i started another course on Graphics Design and later in 2014 i started another course on video editing on “pathshala” a popular and good institution in Bangladesh. Then i started outsourcing job firstly on O’Desk(Upwork), in 2015 my O’desk profile got banned because my internet connection was shared ip based connection. then i did work various freelancing site like freelancer.com, xbtlancer. In 2017 one of my friend told me about “Fiverr” a freelancing site. He told is like a shop and services is like a product. Then i surfed and found that the site has lot of good buyers. I created my account within that night and prepared my services description. I uploaded my first gig which was on Photoshop work at the next evening. And another gig on illustration (vector art conversion ) on that night and a Data entry related gig on next day. After 2 days i got my first order it was a design which was a vector conversion job and within 3 hours i completed the job. The client was satisfied left a good review with a tip. Then in the next morning i got another two jobs relating vector conversion and photo editing ii completed both in that day. I got my first data entry job after 9 days later uploading my gig. And the experience was horrible to me. The task was mass mailing. over 5000+ email need to be forward. It was a Pakistani buyer who made the deal. But the deal was about 1000 mail in 2 days. But after purchasing gig he said i need to send 5000+ mail within 24 hours. I was speechless. In that time i wasn’t known about fiverr support centre. I was helpless and agreed the deal in 5$ only. I started and seated near the pc almost 12 hour continuously. Somehow i completed the task only for a good review. After getting the review i got another job from another pakistani buyer and the task was typing a book from photos to ms word the book was about 500 pages and my time was one week. I have calmed and did the job which was also for 5$. Then i took rest and keeping me online to in fiverr from mobile. After 2 days i got an order of listing product on a excel sheet the order was for 10$ i did the work within 30 minutes. The buyer was happy in my service and tipped me 15$ so total 25$ usd in Half hour. That feeling was unbelievable. I smiled and i cried. From that client i got more 7–8 work in that month. After that month he hired me for 3 month outside of fiverr. And other gigs also goiing on. In 2020 Corona-virus pandemic strikes and my job gone down. I am returned to fiverr again and hoping there i can start again and gain some satisfaction at least. Because i Believe man is mortal but their works, reviews and reputation never dies.
