How I Feel Being a 4th Quarter Senior

High school has been a fun and stressful four, long years. I have built relationships that were made to last and I’ve made some that could not keep from falling apart. I’ve experienced some of the best memories that I will cherish for a life time, but I’ve also experienced some of my worst hardships. I’ve overcome challenges, whether it be in my school life or in my personal life. High school has taught me to not allow negative people’s opinions to tear me down, to always be confident in myself, to trust that everything happens for a reason. I’ve learned that everyone has struggles going on in their life even if it doesn’t appear like that on the surface. Some people are fighting battles from within and it is unfair to judge someone without understanding who they are on the inside. It is important to always be kind and treat others the way you want to be treated. This is just some of what high school has taught me. As a fourth quarter senior, I have begun to look back and reflect on my high school experience. I have been ready to leave Glenview since I was 15 years old. Although, as my time to leave has finally neared, I’m beginning to feel a bit nostalgic for all the memories, family, friends, and love I am leaving behind in my home town. As a fourth quarter senior, my school work load has lightened and my social calendar has been filling. With two months until graduation I am preparing for what’s to come in my next chapter of life. Prom is a little over a month away and planning has been hectic. After finally choosing my roommate for college, I feel less stressed about the pressure involved with that. Everything has seemingly been falling into place. I’m going to my dream college, the University of Arizona. I am taking the time I have as a fourth quarter senior to strengthen my friendships and relationships. As a fourth quarter senior, I am moving forward with the support of my friends and family.
